A self-confessed TV buff with a love of news and entertainment too, which mostly drives me to blog about them here.
A telly obsessive of many programmes where you will find my enthusiastic thoughts on some of my favourites here. But if I feel the occasion to rant about things I feel passionate about I usually do that here. Oh, in case you didn’t know, I like writing.
Shortlisted and Longlisted for the Ireland Blog Awards in 2015. I have also been Longlisted for the Littlewoods 2016 Ireland’s Best Blog Post and Film and TV blog. In 2012 I was short-listed for Dublin City University’s Hybrid Awards, “Blog of the Year” and “News and Current Affairs Journalist of the Year.”
A Masters in Journalism graduate from Dublin City University but also recieved a Bachelor of Arts from NUI Galway.
During my spell at DCU, I had written for DCU’s student newspaper The College View and may have shared my voice on DCUfm too.
I was previously a staff writer at Sheology Digital. Before that I was the I.T. and Social Media Editor for The Immigration Agency where I wrote various articles on the site about Australian visas, as well as life and news Down Under.
I was also the online content assistant and journalist at the national station Newstalk.
And I gained some experience writing various pieces for regional newspaper The Galway Independent.
Whilst studying at NUIG I was a journalist for the student newspaperSIN (student information network). There I wrote the main news stories as well as occasional feature pieces. In my final year I became the co-News Editor for the newspaper. I also enjoy writing some fiction when or whatever pops into my head – when inspiration hits of course.
